Immediate Dentures
Immediate dentures are used after the extraction of all teeth in the mouth; they provide a sense of relief and support when you have no teeth.
Preparation for immediate dentures takes place before extraction, as an impression of your gums and teeth is required to mimic your existing teeth. Your dentures will be ready before your extraction appointment and inserted right after extraction to leave you with a beautiful smile.
Please Note:
In most cases, it is not possible to ensure accurate fitting of the immediate denture before extraction. Due to structural problems and inadequate space, the patients will have to make aesthetic compromises.
Care After Extraction
Postoperative care is important to promote the healing of gums and bone tissues, as, without care, it is common for bone and gum tissue to recede after extraction. Oral maintenance and hygiene can help minimize these problems.
